Bonjour à tous ceux qui ont la gentillesse de suivre ce blog et mes modestes travaux persos. Voici le premier résultat d'une étude sur la lumière en m'inspirant d'un éclairage tiré de "the thing" de carpenter. J'ai adoré faire ça, très bonne exercice, surtout après mes galères sur mon dernier boulot, un cadre, comme ça fait du bien. J'ai du pas mal cogiter pour permettre à la 3d de me servir dans la bonne direction, surtout que je voulais la réaliser très vite (3jours au total) .
J'espère que vous ne trouverez pas le résultat trop moche, je pense renouveler l’exercice, c'est très instructif ces petites visites.
J'attends vos remarques géniales avec impatiences...

Hello to all who are kind enough to follow this blog and my modest work characters. This is the first result of a study on light drawing on a light shot of "the thing" of carpenter. I loved doing that, good exercise, especially after my galleys on my last job, a frame, as it feels good. I have a lot of pondering to enable the 3d to serve me in the right direction, especially since I wanted to make very fast (3 days total).
I hope you will not find the result too ugly, I think repeat the exercise, it is these very informative visit.

If you wonder why it seems to work less linear in its progression than I usually post, it's normal:). As you have noticed little I struggle a bit to get out of this plan because I wanted to test a new pipeline. Long live the risks, that's what serves the personal work. For cons I hope to bring it to something too shameful and ultimately save, hoping that it does not cost me too much time.

Si vous vous demandez pourquoi ce dernier travail parait moins linéaire dans sa progression que ce que je poste d'habitude, c'est normal:). Here 's a quick picture in wait of the big one. Really hard to do it because it s an outside view, and i want to show many live in.
This one is called "SarkoPhage" (don't see any politic aspect in) in the opposite of the other work , this one is kind of post apocalypitque outlook, with a touch of cynicism of course.
The modelisation is made by "yannick" (a soon famous matte painter )
and with the help of "nicotine" a script of a soon famous scripter and rigger , nicolas!

A new technique more on this work. I ve just change my pipeline and work not from the Colour to the bump but from the bump (and displace) to the color.

Here's the stage of modeling of diferent parts of the translunatic port of Vegas. In this step, i'm trying to sculpt without the polygonal influence. It's one of the most usual mistake we do according to me with the modeling. It is a good thing for optimize, it is an other thing of losing the good design.

Afin de faciliter la prochaine étape je sors une pass de rendu vectorielle. C'est une pass qui rend l'image très lisible lors de la mise en place des textures mais elle ne sera pas visible sur le résultat final.

Après quelques recherches, je suis parvenu à l'idée que je n'avais pas un aspect assez cinématographique de l'ambiance que je voulais obtenir.
Je suis revenu vers une direction plus classique et donc retour vers maya.
Recadrage et tout le tintouin avec cette première couche d'occlusion.

Je suis en train d'étudier l'éclairage intérieur dans un nouveau pipeline de production passant par la 2.5.
La base est fait sous maya, puis en 2.5 continué sous zbrush, puis éclairé sous painter en paintover des lumières 3d maya.

Bon c'est un peu rock and roll, mais je cherche la satisfaction :)

voilà , j 'ai commencé mes recherches d'ambiances, avec les encouragements de mon cher camarade erwann. Il a vraiment raison cette étape est très utile, c'est un espace pour la réflexion, et dans une période ou on interdit tout même de réfléchir, autant s'en donner à cœur joie...petite précision je suis allez chercher quelques gammes chez vernet, d'où le petit clin d'œil respectueux.

C'est marrant alors que je travaillais sur une image après la tempête....des intempéries ont ruinée mon disque de travail avec tout mes avancées dedans. Dans c'est cas là soit on décide que cette foi ci on devient apiculteur, soit on prend son courage à deux mains pi on recommence (en mieux)

J'ai décidé de revenir sous toshop pour ce nouveau speed. J'utilise une technique différentes et hélas pas mes propres brosses. Je vais prendre le temps demain de m'en faire quelques une.
J'ai du mettre 6 heures environs c'est un peu beaucoup mais j'ai pas mal cherché mes teintes.
Je voulais faire ce qu'on appel dans le jargon une piscine, tout en gardant dans l'idée qu'il s'agit d'une toile impressionniste peinte sur le motif. Je suis revenu à l'effet d'assombrir mon premier plan pour creusé la pers, c'est un peu académique mais bon si on en abuse pas trop c'est quand même assez efficace. J'ai aussi marqué le détail selon la profondeur de champ. J'ai du accélérer le rythme à la fin donc pour le premier plan (toujours mon dernier) car j'avais trop trainé au départ. J'ai donc pas pu rester trop longtemps sur de belles brushes pour peaufiner mais bon c'est la règle que je me suis imposé pour l'étude.

Et voilà la version finale, comme vous pouvez le constater, j'applique à moi même ce que je répète toujours autour de moi, rien ne vaut la pratique! Alors après avoir revu quelques tableaux d'impressionnistes, je vais essayer de mettre à profit ma ballade du matin...pour faire un paysage pendant que le bébé dors. Je pense que les bébés sont une invention formidable pour apprendre à travailler super vite. Belle occasion de changer de style et d'aller plus loin dans l'éclairage, la nature nous imposant des variations bien plus subtiles que les notions académiques habituelles.

Et voilà un nouveau travail dans l'espace, pour changer. Même si il ne s'agit plus de speed painting ,il s'agit d'un rendu assez bâtard puisque entre le réalisme et le graphisme. Le plus drôle c'est l'image de fond qui fut mon point de départ fut au final ce qui ma le plus posé de problèmes. Colo hasardeuse et pas de lignes de fuites pour s'intégrer dans la pers. Au final des principes simples que j'ai malencontreusement zappé ou tout du moins pas utilisées... Voilà pourquoi c'est si intéressant d'ailleurs, pouvoir s'améliorer, se remettre en cause et en péril (oups envolée lyrique moins une, dsl) . Questions techniques je me suis par contre amusé à utiliser le nombre d'or un peu partout dans cette image, à voir si ca se sent...
(nda: si tu trouves 4 fois le chiffres 1,168 tu gagnes ton poids en steaks)
Même si ce n'est pas tout à fait fini je tiens à remercier un certain nombre de personnes qui ont eu la générosité de me donner leurs avis, voir quelques astuces....Donc big check à Alex le manouch!! à erwan l'happy hour 's man !!!! et olivier qui est spécialement sortie de sa cabane pour me montrer quelques stuffs sc5.

when i work with my girlfriend, she's given me a book wich talken about human's trade. I remember a chapter wich explain how french trader throw their "goods" when english's boat hunt the slavers. They attached all the prisonners at the chain of the anchor and let it gone under the deep of the sea. I will try to show the picture i saw in my head at the first read. Ok, i will try to colorize the undersea's sketching right now. The first stage is according to me to redraw some stuffs and have a sufficient good and clear line to color.
I have asked to my girlfriend to take care of the caracter, she choosed to draw a young girl.
i 've used ps and painter to redraw all stuffs
